Pluto crossed the threshold of Aquarius on November 19 2024, becoming the first of the transpersonal gods to announce the new cycle of profound mutations that are transforming the three outer planets. On May 4, it began its retrograde motion; due to the slowness of its realm, it did not return to Capricorn. Yesterday, October 14, it resumed direct motion, sealing its definitive stay in Aquarius until 2043.
I. The Ingress
It stands in fixed air, the element of Archangel Raphael and the breath of understanding, within a sign ruled by Saturn. It is therefore a Plutonian force expressed under Saturnine law, the same principle that shaped it in Capricorn, but now in the temple of air of the Eleventh House, domain of the Good Daimon and collective intelligence. Ruler of this constellation, Saturn is one sign ahead, retrograde in Pisces, forming no Pythagorean aspect with its guest. This absence of contact deepens the silent and subterranean character of the phase, as the outer god acts without direct supervision until Saturn enters Aries again.
Pluto is moving through the first decan of Aquarius, where solar light is refracted through Venus. It is the decan of the Five of Swords, the blade that reveals the cutting and martial power of Geburah in the formative world of Yetzirah, a mental battlefield where the mind is sharpened by truth. In the Egyptian bounds, the planet is under the rule of Mercury, where word and thoughts become instruments of purification.
It will remain largely unconnected for the upcoming weeks, receiving only on November 8 a square from Venus exiled in Scorpio, a dissonant note that will draw to the surface the relational wounds and corrupted values still resisting regeneration.
II. The Work
With Pluto now moving forward in Aquarius, the god of the underworld begins to breathe again through the lungs of the mind. The months of retrograde motion acted as a descent into the collective shadow, exposing the hidden architecture of power that shapes thought processes, science, and the invisible networks between human beings. The energy now rises once more, calling for a regeneration of intelligence itself.
Aquarius bears the mark of Saturn, but its essence is airy and electric. Under this sign, the depth of Pluto turns upward to reform the invisible systems that sustain the world: technology, ideology, language, and belief. It destroys false certainties of progress and it demands clarity, sobriety, and responsibility before the unseen forces that rule our creations.

The first decan ruled by Venus adds a peculiar refinement to this purgation. It softens the iron edge of the god and directs his power toward the social and relational field. If we look at the Five of Swords, this is the purifying fire of Geburah applied to the mind in Yetzirah: ideas, words and images must now pass through the blade. Pluto in Aquarius begins the alchemy of the human collective.
III. Operative Synthesis
The return of Pluto to direct motion marks the slow reopening of the subterranean channels through which power, desire, and memory circulate. The outer god has shifted from corrosion to reconstruction.
Individually, this long transit asks for an unflinching audit of what one serves. Aquarius rules alliances, ideals, and the invisible webs that bind minds to each other. Digital, intellectual, or emotional networks becomes a mirror where hidden motives appear. The proper rite is one of purification through discernment: deleting that which is hollow, speaking only what bears weight, refining the current of one’s thought until it vibrates with truth.
Collectively, the same operation unfolds on a grander scale. Systems once worshipped for their efficiency or brilliance reveal their shadow: control disguised as order and novelty without soul. The correction under way is surgical. Saturn rules the overall frame, Venus offers proportion in the first decan, and Mercury provides the scalpel in the bound, with Pluto executing his slow, quiet exorcism through the first degrees of Aquarius.
The fixed signs Aquarius, Leo, Taurus and Scorpio now become the protagonists of a time of profound mutation. They uphold the structure of matter and consciousness and it is precisely that structure which Pluto, moving direct through Aquarius, begins to dissolve in order to rebuild. Identity becomes a living laboratory.
In Leo, the lesson arrives through the inverted mirror in the opposite sign of the wheel. The other, either partner, public or relationship, forces a confrontation with personal power and the way one uses light. In Taurus, tension arises between the private and the public, demanding a reform of security, body, space and the handling of resources. In Scorpio, the work is mental and spiritual, a process of death and rebirth of ideas, expression and the relation with the Sacred.
Those who have the beginning of Aquarius on one of the four angles – Ascendant, Imum Coeli, Descendant or Midheaven – now experience a vital restructuring. On the Ascendant, presence, appearance and destiny are transfigured. On the Imum Coeli, roots and emotional heritage are reconfigured. On the Descendant, relational patterns and old alliances dissolve. On the Midheaven, the transformation touches the social role, vocation and visible mission.
This passage is most strongly felt by those with the Sun, Moon or Ascendant between 0° and 5° degrees of the fixed signs. It is an archetypal metamorphosis: the soul changes its skin. Those who have personal planets such as Mercury, Venus or Mars in these degrees also feel an inner cleansing and a redirection of their functions. The mind becomes sharper, desire more truthful, and will more demanding.
Clean language, clear intention, and loyalty to reality itself are offerings fit for this long transit. When power becomes transparent, it ceases to corrupt. When intelligence serves truth rather than dominion, the Eleventh House opens and the Good Daimon returns.
