Yesterday, on October 21, 2025, the Moon joined the Sun at 28° of Libra, inaugurating a new lunar cycle in the Cardinal Air sign. This lunation arises under the direct rulership of Venus in domicile also in Libra, currently in the first decan, a decan of lunar nature, creating a subtle mutual rulership between the night luminary and the goddess who governs her.

I. Descriptive – The Sky in Analysis
The Moon herself is peregrine in Libra, holding no essential dignity by sign or triplicity, even though this Cardinal sign is feminine. Her light therefore depends entirely upon Venusian grace, rendering this beginning delicate and dependent, with beauty seeking its form through reflection.
The degree 28 of Libra lies within the bound of Mars, immediately before the entrance into Scorpio. Mars, the diurnal malefic and ruler of the following sign, is precisely now in domicile in Scorpio, exercising a secondary rulership over this novilunium.
By decan, the last of Libra belongs to Jupiter, a planet now exalted in Cancer, the only lunar constellation of the zodiac. This lunation carries a subtle bridge between the Cardinal Air of Libra and the Cardinal Water of Cancer: a dialogue between social balance and nourishing feeling.
Something rare also occurs in this cycle: the next Full Moon, on November 5, will not take place on the opposite axis (Aries) as usual, but rather in Taurus, a sign of Fixed Earth also ruled by Venus. Both the New Moon and the Full Moon are Venusian, under the dominion of the nocturnal benefic, in a sequence of rare elemental coherence.
The Full Moon will manifest at 13° of Taurus, a degree of Mercurial bound and lunar decan. The nocturnal luminary, exalted in Taurus, reinforces the feminine, carnal, and receptive axis of this cycle, one of Air and Earth, rather than of Fire and Air as would normally occur.
It is an even more remarkable lunation because, upon reaching its fullness in Taurus, it will draw a striking contrast. During the two weeks that follow, until Uranus returns to Taurus by retrogradation, no planet other than the Moon will touch the Earth signs. The heavens will remain profoundly emotional, introspect, and watery, so the Moon, through her exaltation and plenilunium in the fixed Earth of Taurus, will finally lend the skies a measure of substance and form.
II. Symbolic – The Geometry of the Feminine
This lunation marks a shift from the 7–1 axis (Libra–Aries) to a 7–2 axis (Libra–Taurus), a displacement caused by the consecutive New Moons in Virgo during August and September, which have created a subtle misalignment in the lunar cycle.
The passage from encounter (7th house) to possession and body (2nd house) speaks of the incarnation of desire and the materialisation of the bond.
The Cardinal Air of Libra, where Venus legislates the laws of harmony, now descends into the Taurian matter, where she demands Eros, touch, and permanence.
The symbolic triad becomes clear:
- Venus in Libra: the mirror, the gesture, the pact;
- New Moon in the bound of Mars: the friction that awakens the body;
- Full Moon in Taurus: the flesh that holds the reflection and makes it fertile.
It is a lunation in which Venus occupies both thrones: that of relation in LIbra and that of possession in Taurus. Ruler of the bound of the New Moon, Mars from Scropio introduces the tension necessary for symbolic fecundation, but soon yields the field to the dense sweetness of Taurus, where the feminine triumphs through consistency rather than contest.
III. Operative – Application in Life
This cycle calls for the concretisation of the bond and the re-education of pleasure. What began as a desire for balance (Libra) must now become breathable matter (Taurus). Relationships, collaborations, and works that until now existed in conceptual or aesthetic form must now gain weight, texture, and rhythm.
On the inner level, the lunar lesson is to embody harmony: to pass from thinking love to touching love; from ideal to gesture. It is also a fertile period for artists, translators, and Venusian creators, since the double dominion of the night goddess favours the integration between form and substance.
In daily life, it is worth observing:
- how one deals with pleasure and the body (Taurus);
- the balance between agreement and desire (Libra–Scorpio);
- the tendency to postpone delight for aesthetics instead of living it in presence.
This is, in short, a cycle in which beauty demands body, and the body demands harmonious silence. The nocturnal Venus, the mistress of form and flesh, is claiming attention, touch, and loyalty.
