The querent, a freelance copywriter, asked whether a client would hire him the following day. The chart shows Mars as the primary significator of the querent, with the Moon as co-significator. Venus signifies the client, as ruler of Taurus on the cusp of the 7th house.

There is a trine between the Moon in Virgo and Venus in Aries, although it is separating after having perfected when the Moon was still in Leo, which does not support an affirmative judgement. We are judging the future, not the past. Mars stands isolated in Pisces and is void of course, which points towards a querent who cannot do much anymore to influence things. All this points towards a negative answer.
But, when the antiscia are considered, a decisive factor showed up. The Moon and Venus are in conjunction by antiscia with a very close orb of 0°18’, which allowed me to change the verdict. This is confirmed by the outcome, as the client did contact the querent to proceed with the commission.
The Moon in Virgo, the sign of Venus’s fall, indicates some reservation on the part of the querent towards the client. But that all remains secondary when analyzing the question itself: will the client hire me? And the determining factor is in the conjunction by antiscia between the Moon and Venus, which brought about the event.
